CE Credit Information
To help fulfill your continuing education requirements, the IMPACT 2009 program has been submitted to the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards for Continuing Education (CE) credit, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit and to the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) for CIMA credit.
Continuing Education (CE) Credit for Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation
The CFP Board requires the CFP registrant to provide either his or her CFP Board ID number (issued with the initial certification) for validation. This information must be provided in order for the registrant to receive CE credit for CE approved events. If the registrant does not know his or her CFP Board ID number, please contact the CFP Board at 303-830-7500.
Prior to the start of IMPACT 2009, the registrant may obtain CE credit by submitting his or her CFP Board ID number during Web site registration. If the registrant is not able to submit his or her CFP Board ID number prior to the event, the registrant may obtain CE credit at the event by visiting the Registration Desk to submit his or her ID number.
As a CFP Board-registered CE sponsor, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. will submit a list of event attendees electronically to the CFP Board within 60 days after the event has been completed. Registrants will receive an email confirmation from the CFP Board when credit has been processed. Registrants can also check the status of his or her CE hours on the CFP Web site.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit for Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
Schwab Institutional is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State Boards of Accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to:

During IMPACT 2009, a CPE certification form for credit submission will be provided at the conclusion of each CPE approved session. Attendees will be responsible for completing the CPE certification form and submitting the form (one per session) to the appropriate membership association(s) or state board(s). Please note that it is also the attendee’s responsibility for making a copy of the submission and keeping it on file.
Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) Continuing Education Credit
Charles Schwab & Co., Inc will submit all IMPACT educational sessions for CIMA credit eligibility. Each CIMA licensee is responsible for submitting CE documentation for non-IMCA sponsored events. Documentation must be mailed or faxed to the address below. It is the responsibility of the CIMA licensee to keep a copy of all items submitted. Continuing education forms for CIMA credit will be available at the end of the session at the back of the room. Attendees can also pick up a form at any one of the IMPACT Information desks.
