Q: Do I need to pay for my own travel and accommodations?
A: Yes, you are responsible for paying for your transportation to the event and for your hotel accommodations.

Q: How long does it take to get to or from the airport, and how much does it cost?
A: Depending on traffic, it can take 5 to 10 minutes to get to downtown San Diego where the IMPACT hotels and San Diego Convention Center are located. The approximate cost is $10.00.

Q: What hotel accommodations are available, and what is the cost to me?
A: Accommodations for the IMPACT 2009 are available at the following hotels. Please do not call the hotels directly to book your reservation. Your hotel reservations will be booked through the IMPACT 2009 registration system.

Note: All hotel rates apply to reservations prior to August 14, 2009, or until room block sells out, and exclude applicable taxes. All participating hotels are within walking distance of the San Diego Convention Center. Charles Schwab will be providing shuttles for attendees with special needs.

Q: Can I book housing after I have registered?
A: If you have already registered for the Conference, but did not register for a hotel room initially, you can complete your Schwab IMPACT conference hotel registration at My IMPACT. Be sure to have your username and password. For pricing (tax not included) and proximity to the San Diego Convention, refer to the 2009 Schwab IMPACT Conference Hotel Map.

Q: Do I need to contact the hotel to book my reservation?
A: No. When you register online for IMPACT 2009, you may submit your hotel accommodation request. The registration team will reserve your room and guarantee the reservation with your credit card.

Q: Do I need to provide a credit card to reserve my hotel room?
A: Yes, a credit card is needed to confirm your reservation at IMPACT 2009 hotels. The following credit cards are accepted: American Express, MasterCard and Visa.

Q: What times are check-in and check-out at the hotels reserved for IMPACT 2009?
A: Check-in time 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00  a.m. Please check with your hotel regarding any questions. Early check in or late check out requests will be submitted to the hotel and will be based on hotel availability to meet the request.

Q: Do the hotels reserved for IMPACT 2009 have handicapped accessibility?
A: Yes, all hotels reserved for the conference are in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and special rooms are available upon request.

Q: May I extend my hotel stay at the IMPACT 2009 group rate?
A: The room rates for the IMPACT 2009 hotels in San Diego are available from September 11, 2009, through September 16, 2009.

Note: The rate is subject to availability at the time extension request is received.


Q: What is the hotel cancellation policy?
A: The hotel cancellation policy requires notice of cancellation 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date for deposit refund. Some hotels pre-charge a room deposit equal to the first night's room plus tax prior to arrival. If you do not arrive or do not cancel within the cancellation period, the room deposit will not be refunded.

Q: When will I get my hotel confirmation?
A: You will receive a hotel confirmation with your event confirmation, which will be sent two weeks prior to the conference. You can also reconfirm your hotel reservation online via My IMPACT, once you have registered and booked your hotel reservation.

Q: What is the weather like in San Diego in September?
A:  The average high is 82˚ F, and the average low is 64˚ F. September and October often bring Indian summers, and the temperate weather can linger as late as mid-November.

Q: What if I don’t see my preferred hotel when I register?
A: Hotels will be shown that match your dates of availability. For further questions, please call 866-405-2516 or 650-226-0830.
